Bridge Program

Facilitation training for aspiring ‘Lived Experience Leaders’ (LELs)

The WIND Bridge Program helps women in reentry learn leadership skills to help them in employment and community service. Some of the graduates of Bridge become facilitators for WIND sessions.

This program has been funded primarily through a generous Racial Equity and Community Partner Grant from Northwestern University. The program has two goals:

(a) to provide compensated training in co-facilitation and leadership skills for women who have been impacted by the criminal justice system.

(b) to develop a cadre of ‘Lived Experience Leaders’ who can contribute to WIND.

Our programs and the direction of our organization are best served by including the voices of those who have “lived experience” with the carceral system.
